The whole picture looks like hardware. How many screws? Do they stay in as well? I'm not real excited about you getting back on a horse before everything is in place, but I figure Steve & Katie will keep you in line.
That's some serious hardware. Trust me on this...DO NOT have them removed. The pain is excruciating.
Before the Navy would let me enlist, I was required to have the screws removed from my ankle. 27 years later I can still recall the feeling of the screws being threaded out of my bone.

Love, Mom
Looks like six, I think, and they will stay in. They could be removed later with another surgery, but I think I'll just not bother.
I will be careful. I have no desire to continue with this any longer than absolutely necessary!!
Shoot. I'd say you're ready. I mean there's like a dozen screws in there! That's gotta hold, right?
(Of course I'm riding with a stress fracture on my foot, so don't listen to me.)
Oh, no, Breathe. I WILL listen to you. Bar says I should. He's nearly as bored as I am.
Thanks!
That is SO bad-ass. It's like something from the X-men. Not that I'd want to trade places :)
Good luck with the newer, Now With 20% More Metal!! you.
Ha! Thanks, Kathy. I was hoping for Adamantium, but apparently that is only a fictional metal. Damn.
